Double crochet (dc)

How to work it

  1. Yarn over, insert the hook into the next stitch.
  2. Yarn over, pull up a loop (three loops on the hook).
  3. Yarn over, draw through two loops (two remain).
  4. Yarn over, draw through the last two.

Twice the height of a single crochet. The turning chain for a dc row is usually 3 chains, and many patterns count that chain as the first stitch.
