Half double crochet (hdc)

How to work it
- Yarn over BEFORE inserting the hook.
- Insert into the next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop (three loops).
- Yarn over, draw through all three loops at once.
Halfway between single and double crochet in height, with a distinctive third loop along the back that some patterns work into on purpose.

- Modern US: half double crochet (hdc).
- UK: half treble (htr).
